Being diagnosed with breast cancer is an emotional roller coaster. You may feel frightened, angry, vulnerable, sad and overwhelmed. As you think about the future, you may be worried about yourself and wondering how this will affect your family. You may wonder how you will cope during the days to come.
You can often find the support and information you need by talking with someone who has been there and understands what you are going through. The staff and volunteers on Willow's Peer Support Team have all had a diagnosis of breast cancer themselves and can offer you emotional support. They can also provide information to help you better understand a breast cancer diagnosis, such as explaining what medical terms mean and they can help you navigate through the days ahead.
